I love it when I come across a site that makes me want to sit and surf though every page  – and that must also be something that makes you sit up and take notice when you are first looking for a wedding photographer?

Gill Flett has just such a site! – www.gillflettlifestyle.com/

I love the colours that Gill has used and the clean layout and this is reflected in her wonderful images as well.

This is what Gill feels about being a wedding photographer:

“I am so privileged to be around people on their wedding day. There is such a wonderful feeling being around such fresh love. I enjoy the pressure and expectation – the result is so much more. I love receiving the emails and watching client’s faces as they see their wedding pictures for the first time.

I know that their wedding album will be taken out time and time again.”

How lovely!

Freya Rose

I’m off with a group of my best friends tomorrow evening to watch the lastest Sex and The City Movie. It hasn’t been given the best reviews, but lets face it – that’s not why we’re going! I love the fashion, the friendship -  all the real girly stuff – which got me thinking about heels – killer heels, pretty heels, heels -  and how they make us feel about ourselves. I love shoes and it tickles me when Carrie spends her food budget on a pair of Farragamo’s  – ah, if only I could do that in real life, I probably would!

So where do you turn for that perfect pair of shoes for your wedding day? Well, if it was me, I would have a pretty good look at what Freya Rose has to offer. Their latest designs are embellished with Mother of Pearl, Silver, 18ct Gold, Pearls, Diamonds and Platinum – all things that would certainly stop Carrie in her tracks!

For the rest of us mere mortals, Freya Rose offers a personalised bridal service – making shoes to specification and dyed for a perfect colour match. The intricate detailing, for which Freya Rose is renowned,  is all designed and made in house and can be either fixed or detachable.  You can choose from their selection of decorative trims or provide them with your own particular fabric to incorporate into the design. The shoes are all handmade by craftsmen who have learnt their trade through generations, and use only the finest Italian materials.

Freya Rose studied at London’s College of Fashion and honed her design skills working for other designers including Gina. Recent collaborations with De Beers has resulted in award winning designs, but at the heart of this is the requirement that every pair of shoes to leave her studio are flattering, sexy, fit perfectly and are comfortable to wear – what’s not to love?

Jane Taylor Millinery

Every bride looks for that little something extra – something that transforms your outfit into the extraordinary. I just love the idea of handmade, beautiful millinery – it’s akin to artwork and so lovely to have even something small made just for you.

Jane Taylor’s designs are exquisite.  While her hats, headpieces and fascinators are undoubtable stylish and chic, there is the element of theatricality in her designs which set them apart. Jane has an undergraduate degree in embroidery and puts this skill to good use, embellishing her creations with vintage feathers, veil, lace, gems and antique ornaments – all things she sources herself.

Jane’s studio is in South West London, and you can  commision a bespoke piece from her – where she will craft a bespoke design based on your colur scheme, personality and specifications.

She has also recently launched an online shop with a wide range of options available.  Each item is still made to order though so you are able to choose fromvarious finishing touches. Certain pieces can be dyed to order ensuring that they become the perfect finishing touch to your bridal look.

Jane has collaborated with leading British designers and figures in the music industry and pieces from her collections have been featured in British VOGUE, Harpers and Tatler magazines.

Karin Andréasson

If you’re looking for something altogether different for your bridal ensemble – then look no further than Karin Andréasson’s Trinkets and Treasures collection. Karin has combined turn of the century lace, crystals, vintage ribbons and feathers to create romantic and whimsical headpieces and jewellery. Each piece is unique and sophisticated, with an old world glamour and attached history.  I love the idea of her creations, using little bits of prettiness, collected over time and reinvented into something new and unusual and something absolutely delightful.

I found Julia Boggio’s site when I was doing my post on the Absolutely Beautiful Weddings show. I’m not surprised that she was the photographer chosen as one of  the 12 elite exhibiting, her photography is sublime.

Julia is the lead photographer and comes from a family of Italian artists and photographers. Julia’s style is very much influenced by film, but her husband describes her as passionate, quirky and creative, all qualities that make a great wedding photographer……..
